Conservancy Receives Award

On May 12, 2001, the Conservancy was presented with the 1794 Heritage Award from the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library to honor our open space preservation work.  The award was also presented to our colleagues at the Montgomery County Agricultural Preservation Program, Montgomery County Open Space Program, Penn State Cooperative Extension of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Lands Trust.  The ceremony was held in conjunction with the opening of a Smithsonian traveling exhibition entitled "Listening to the Prairie", highlighting agricultural alternatives on the North American prairie.
The Conservancy thanks the Library for acknowledging our work.  It is always nice to be recognized and appreciated!

Comcast Interview

During September and October our President, Mary Lou McFarland was featured three times a day in a Comcast/CN8 interview.  The interview was conducted to help the Conservancy spread the word about our work in historic and open space preservation.    Thank you, Comcast, for supporting
our efforts to educate the public about preservation and conservation.
