Board of Directors/Staff

The Conservancy of Montgomery County is governed by a Board of Directors and presently has one part-time staff member.

Board Members

Melissa Cahill, Chairman

Melissa is a Clinical Safety Scientist at Merck.  Her interests in the conservation of natural and historic resources resulted in her becoming a founding member of the Conservancy.  Melissa is also an active education volunteer at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.

David Comiciotto

David is Vice President of Corporate Quality for MEDecision, Inc. in Wayne, PA.

David Froehlich

Dave is a Conservation Specialist with Salwen & Strasburg Real Estate in Lower Gwynedd, PA and has over 30 years experience working with conservation properties and conservation easements. 

Karen Gibbons

Karen is Director/Associate Communications for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, PA.

 Marlene Harding

Our newest board member, Marlene is a consultant with over 20 years experience specializing in leadership development, human resources management, & organizational development & training.          She has previously served as Senior HR Consultant  for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and as the Director of Human Resources at Marriott Hotels.    

Jonathan Rinde, Esq.

Jonathan is an attorney with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox in Bala Cynwyd, PA, specializing in environmental & land use law. 

Steve Scaduto, CPA, Treasurer

Steve is a Director with Elko & Associates, Ltd., Certified Public Accountants, in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Rodd is an attorney with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox in Bala Cynwyd, PA, specializing in environmental & land use law. 
 

Nicholas Gianopulos, P.E./Nick is Chairman Emeritus of Keast & Hood Co., Philadelphia, a nationally known structural engineering company specializing in historic preservation. 

Shirley E. Hanson/Shirley is a founding member of the Conservancy and is the Principal of Hanson Marketing.  She is also a preservation consultant and author.

Mary Lou McFarland, President

Mary Lou is one of the founding members of the Conservancy and previously served as the first Executive Director of the Preservation Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, now known as the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
